Kylie Sabra is not a newcomer to SL—a resident for over five years now and a winner of two Avi Choice awards. Her journey has led her through the arts in a myriad of ways: graphic design, photography, art, fashion design and now music. Kylie left singing in real life a few years ago when she was beset by crippling stage fright, but she has made her way back to the stage after working to overcome her demons.
Her voice, at once sultry and full, has been described as being as succulent as a saxophone—an alto sax that is. Her main love is blues across the ages—from Nina Simone to Lana Del Rey. Her works feature the likes of: Katie Melua, Melody Gardot, Madeleine Peyroux, Julie London, Peggy Lee, KD Lang and Sting, just to name a few. You can wear Ms. Sabra’s voice like a silk dressing gown. Just add a Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royal cognac and a CAO Gold cigar.
